How the Organization Evolved

The seed for ONE was planted in 1998 by the Council of United Way Agency Executives (CUWAE).  The thought was to share the support network that is so helpful to those persons responsible for the success of nonprofit organizations, that was previously available only to Executive Directors of United Way organizations, and expand it to include the larger community of nonprofit Executive Directors within the State of Arizona.  They were joined by members of the Association for Nonprofit Executive Directors of Arizona (ANEDA) and the Organization for Nonprofit Executives was born.  

The original Steering Committee worked diligently throughout the year 1999 to set up the foundation of legal groundwork and develop a structure of committees that were focused on meeting the needs of the membership.  That was how we began.  

Today the Organization for Nonprofit Executives (ONE) is a successful association that offers quality luncheon programs and enjoyable networking mixers to its members.   And just wait till you hear what we have planned for the future.
